ライブストリーミングのエンコーダ「Flash Media Encoder」を無料配布
アドビ システムズは2007年3月1日、先ごろ米国 Adobe が発表した「Adobe Flash Media Server」（FMS）および「Adobe Flash Video Streaming Service」（FVSS）対応の「Adobe Flash Media Encoder」（Windows 版）の無償ダウンロード配布を開始した。
Adobe Flash Media Encoder は、 Flash Media Server あるいは Flash Video Streaming Service を介して、オーディオ/ビデオをライブストリーミングするためのエンコーダ。
インターネット接続端末の98％以上にAdobe Flash Player がインストールされていることから、これを再生プレイヤーにしたライブストリーミング配信ができるようになる。
利用例としては、スポーツ中継、コンサート、Web キャスト、Eラーニング、プロモーションイベントなど。
